    WHY ARES DRV

    Ares DRV — TUBE engine

    Four knobs. That is the panel.

    DRIVE pushes. CHAR shapes. MIX blends the dry signal back in. OUT LVL sets the level after it.

    Ares DRV — FUZZ engine

    Four that saturate, three that break, one that clips.

    TAPE, TUBE, FET and DIODE saturate. FOLD, BIT and FUZZ break the signal up. CLIP is a master clipper, made for loudness. The arrows swap the engine.

    Ares DRV — CLIP engine

    CHAR is never the same knob twice.

    On FOLD it adds folds. On FUZZ it starves the circuit until it sputters. On CLIP it sets how much bass hits the clipper. At zero, the bass goes around it.
